Students sign up for a semester at a time (2 Terms – 16 lessons approximately). Students will be charged for 14 lessons each semester. In addition students will be given 2 more lessons free of charge each semester to offset any interruptions that may arise due to unavoidable school events or activities. Charges will appear on the school fees in semester 1 (term 2) and again in semester 2 (term 4). A full semester’s commitment is the minimum requirement for sign up to the school of music program. Early withdrawals will still incur a full semester charge.
WITHDRAWALS MUST BE GIVEN VIA EMAIL BY THE END OF SEMESTER TO MS EMILY MAGUIRE (emily.maguire@danebank.nsw.edu.au) OR STUDENTS WILL INCUR THE NEXT SEMESTER CHARGES.
Costs
- Individual lesson (30 minutes) – $46.20 (incl. GST)
- KinderMusic (30 minutes) – $25.00 (incl. GST)
KinderMusic is offered as a group lesson to Pre-K and Kindergarten students only (5 students maximum).
Please note that group lessons can only be run if there are enough children signing up for the group.
Lesson Scheduling
LESSON TIMES WILL BE ALLOCATED BY THE SCHOOL.
Lessons take place during the school day. Times will be allocated in consultation with the Classroom Teacher (Junior School), the Year Coordinator (Senior School) and the Music tutor. In the case of a before/after school timeslot being available, preference is given to senior students. Consideration is also given to learning support and other issues that may be highlighted by the Classroom Teacher or Year Coordinator.
PLEASE NOTE: Parents will not be able to negotiate a preferred timeslot. Parents and students sign up for the program with the understanding that lesson timeslots will be allocated by the School to take into account teacher availability and other school activities.
Missed Lessons & Make-Up Lessons
A parent or student must contact the music tutor with at least 24 hours’
notice if a scheduled lesson will be missed.
PLEASE NOTE: It is the parent’s/student’s responsibility to notify the
tutor of ALL interruptions to the lesson schedule. This includes
interruptions due to in-school events such as excursions, assemblies etc.
2 FREE LESSONS each semester (4 per year) are provided to allow for
interruptions to the lesson schedule. As a result, there will be NO MAKE-UP LESSONS OFFERED.
